Ski World Cup
Spectators can look forward to two superlative weekends at the Alpine Ski World Cup in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, when world-class men and women run down the valley on the world-famous Kandahar run. Visitors can take part in training, downhill skiing and Super-G and take part in the World Cup party in the convention center .

Spring Festival on the Theresienwiese

Streetlife Festival with Midnight Bazaar
This weekend, Ludwigstrasse and Leopoldstrasse will become the site of the Streetlife Festival. The theme of the festival revolves around climate protection, sustainable mobility and urban design. Between the Oskar-von-Miller-Ring and Rheinbergerstrasse, hobbyists, designers and artists also offer their handcrafted goods at the Midnight Bazaar.

Munich Film Festival
The Munich Film Festival is the largest festival of its kind in Germany after the Berlin Film Festival. Munich city run
The participants of the Munich city run start their tour in Ludwigstrasse. From there the route leads to Odeonsplatz, across the Hofgarten to the Englischer Garten and back to Ludwigstraße, where the destination is. The children’s run is over 2 km, walking and Nordic walking can be done over 5 km, the family run is 10 km, and the longest route is the half marathon over 21 km.

Oktoberfest
The Oktoberfest is now the largest folk festival in the world and millions of visitors flock to the “Wies’n” every year to celebrate with beer and grilled food. New Year ski jumping
On January 1, around 30,000 spectators are expected at the Olympic Ski Stadium in Garmisch-Partenkirchen during the International New Year’s Ski Jumping as part of the Four Hills Tournament. The New Year’s ski jumping is one of the largest media events in winter sports worldwide, where the best ski jumpers meet. The other three venues for the Four Hills Tournament are Oberstdorf, Innsbruck and Bischofshofen. The qualifying competition takes place on New Year’s Eve.
