Berlinale
One of the largest annual film festivals in the world, the Berlinale, takes place every year in Berlin. Since the festival was founded in 1951, international and national films have been shown in various cinemas in the city and compete for the Golden Bear. Every year, numerous celebrities, exceptional productions, important directors and promising talents are expected on the red carpet and in the cinemas.

Carnival of the Cultures
For four days, the streets of Berlin Kreuzberg are transformed into a festival area with shows, concerts, dance and art. International musicians present themselves on four stages, there is a variety of performances of different genres, from Anatolian music to African ensembles. The highlight of the celebrations is the carnival parade with 60 groups and colorfully decorated cars from Hermannplatz.

Christopher Street Day
Every year, around 400,000 visitors are expected to attend the Christopher Street Day Parade, where gays and lesbians demonstrate for their rights and move from Kurfürstendamm via Nollendorfplatz and Potsdamer Platz to the Victory Column and the Brandenburg Gate in brightly decorated cars. National and international music performances are presented to the visitors on the main stage and the party continues until late at night.

The world’s largest trade fair for consumer electronics opens its doors on the Berlin exhibition grounds.
